Biography #2Mark-Paul Gosselaar stars as Tim Maroon, a level-headed and conscientious young man who returns to his hometown after an unsuccessful attempt at stardom, in BEER MONEY.
A veteran of show business since age ten, Gosselaar is best known for playing Zack Morris on the popular NBC comedy series Saved By the Bell. WB audiences will remember Gosselaar from his role as Dennis Sweeny on Hyperion Bay and as Pete Komisky on D.C. Beginning in January 2002, Gosselaar will join the cast of N.Y.P.D. Blue.
Gosselaar has also been seen in numerous telefilms including NBC's Princess and the Marine, Dying to Belong, Born in Exile, and Necessary Parties with Alan Arkin. Other telefilms credits include For the Love of Nancy, Wedding in Las Vegas, and She Cried No.
Gosselaar's feature film credits include Dead Man on Campus and the independent film Sticks and Stones with Kirstie Alley. Other film credits include Three Blind Mice, Specimen, Under a Killing Moon, and White Wolves.
The son of a Dutch father and Indonesian mother, Gosselaar was raised in Panorama City, CA. He serves as a spokesperson for the United States Soccer Organization and D.A.R.E. Gosselaar is also a professional car racer, and competes in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. He resides outside of Los Angeles with his wife.
