Anne-Marie Johnson
Anne-Marie Johnson is an African-American actress who has starred in film and on television. Her first role was as Aileen Lewisin on the 1984 NBC comedy series Double Trouble. After the 1985 syndicated series What's Happening Now!! (as Nadine Hudson Thomas), she became well-known for portraying Althea Tibbs on the NBC and CBS television series In the Heat of the Night from 1988-1993.
She joined the cast of the Fox Network sketch comedy series In Living Color in its last season (1993-1994); afterwards she portrayed Alycia Barnett in one season of the Fox series Melrose Place (1995-1996). She had a recurring role on the CBS television series JAG as Representative Bobbi Latham.
Her film credits include Hollywood Shuffle, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Robot Jox, The Five Heartbeats, and Strictly Business.
She has made guest appearances on other television series, from Solo One, Diff'rent Strokes, Hill Street Blues, Babylon 5, Girlfriends, and Rock Me Baby.
She became the first Vice President of the Screen Actors Guild in 2005.
She has been married to Martin Grey since 1996.
