Rhea Perlman

Perlman is a force in movies, television and theater. Her most recent credits include H-E-Double Hockey Sticks, a television movie by Disney made for ABC; the TNT Original Movie Houdini; and In the Doghouse for Showtime. Perlman is a four-time Emmy winner for the long-running hit television series Cheers, and has also starred in the television series Pearl, Matilda, and Sunset Park.

Perlman's other television film credits include Mary Jane Harper Cried Last Night, Intimate Stranger, Having Babies II, Drop-Out Father, Stalk the Wild Child, The Spoils of War, and A Place to Be Loved.

Additional motion picture credits include Carpool, Canadian Bacon, Love in Venice, Radio Flyer, Pay Dirt, Final Analysis, Enid is Sleeping, and Love Child.

Perlman, a graduate of Hunter College, was born in Brooklyn, New York. She supports a variety of different children's charities, including LA's Best, the Westside Children's Center, Children's Action Network, the Children's Defense Fund, and the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Perlman and her husband, Danny DeVito, have been involved in a number of projects together. They have produced two short subjects, Minestrone and The Sound Sleeper, helped found the Colonnades Theater Lab in New York; co-starred in the Showtime/The Movie Channel film The Ratings Game, and starred in an episode of NBC's Amazing Stories for Steven Spielberg. Perlman also appeared in three episodes of Taxi as Louie DePalma's (DeVito) girlfriend.
