Guillaume Canet
Canet's breakthrough came in the theater in La Ville dont Le Prince est un Enfant with Christophe Malavoy, directed by Pierre Boutron at the Theatre Hebertot. His other stage credits include Grande Ecole at the Theatre 14, directed by Patrice Kerbrat, and Les Enfants du Paradis at Theatre du Rond-Point, directed by Marcel Marechal.
After appearing in several television features, Canet co-starred with Jean Rochefort in the feature film Barracuda, directed by Philippe Haïm. His additional feature film credits include Remi Waterhouse's Je règle mon Pas sur le Pas de mon Père, Christian Leigh's Sentimental Education, Pierre Jolivet's En Plein Coeur, Jerry Schatzberg's The Day the Ponies Come Back, and Andrezj Zulawski's upcoming La Fidélité, co-starring with Sophie Marceau.
Most recently, Canet was nominated for the Most Promising Young Actor at the 1999 César Awards for his role in Pierre Jolivet's En Plein Coeur, which also stars Virginie Ledoyen.
