Irene Bedard
Bedard received a Golden Globe nomination for her first television performance, the portrayal of Mary Crow Dog in TNT's Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee. Along with hosting The Disney Channel's The Making of Pocahontas and narrating TNT's The Making of Lakota Women, she has also guest starred in such episodics as ABC's The Marshal, TNT's Crazy Horse, CBS' True Women and NBC's Profiler.
Bedard's first love is theater, performing extensively on stages across the U.S. Her work includes A Lie of the Mind for Shubert Theatre, Top Girls and American Buffalo for New York Theatre Workshop, Uncommon Women and Others for Madison Avenue Theatre, Under Control for Joseph Papp Public Theatre, In The Spirit for Ensemble Studio Theatre and Springtime for Drama League. She has also written such original works as Point Hope for the theater ensemble Chuka Lukoli, of which she is a founding member.
