Hedaya's television work spans both series and movies-of-the-week. Probably best known for his character Nick Tortelli on the hit NBC series Cheers, he has also appeared on Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Law and Order, Family Ties and Homicide, among others. His television movie credits include Second Civil War, Bounty Hunters, Fallen Angel, Betrayal of Trust and The Whereabouts of Jenny.
He has appeared on stage in productions including Henry V, Hamlet, Golden Boy, Awake and Sing and "The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel.
