Evan Parke

Evan Parke has been acting professionally since graduating from the prestigious Yale School of Drama in 1997. Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, Parke grew up in Brooklyn and Long Island, New York. He realized he was destined to become an actor during his senior year in college while performing in the play Colored People's Time.

Prior to attending Yale, Parke graduated from Cornell University with a bachelors degree in Economics. Following graduation, he worked in corporate America for three years, but continued to pursue his desire to act through workshops with the Negro Ensemble Company and The American Theatre of Harlem. Additional theatre credits included spending ten months in the Broadway company of The Lion King as an understudy to Scar and Mufasa, performing the latter role thirty times.

Parke was a recipient of the 1997 William and Eva Fox Foundation Fellowship, and he used the award to attend the New York Film Academy, with a focus on film producing.

He recently co-starred in the cable film Breeders and in the TV movie Second String. His television series appearances include recurring roles on the Daytime dramas All My Children and As the World Turns. During the first season of Alias, he played Charlie, Francie's boyfriend.

His feature film credits include Planet of the Apes and a supporting role in The Cider House Rules, where he portrayed the disgruntled migrant worker, Jack, who refuses to submit to the authority of an incestuous foreman. He also appeared in The Replacements. Parke's hobbies include the martial arts, equestrian and reading. He is single and currently lives in Los Angeles.
