Ray J
Much like his older sister Brandy, Ray J has a passion for music, and is an accomplished singer, producer and writer. On his debut R&B album, Everything You Want, he co-wrote the title track with noted songwriter Kipper Jones and shares the spotlight with Brandy on the funky Thank You. He also contributed singles to the multi-platinum soundtracks Dr. Dolittle and Set It Off . Recently, Ray J signed with Atlantic Records and will release his second album in the year 2000. On the producing side, Ray J founded Knock Out Entertainment, a music production company presently working with several up and coming artists.
In the feature film arena, Ray J had a leading role in the 1997 Warner Bros. drama Steel with Shaquille O'Neal and was featured in Mars Attacks and Once Upon A Time When We Were Colored as well as the HBO telefilm The Enemy Within. For television, he was a series regular on The Sinbad Show, made guest appearances on Moesha, Nickelodeon's All That, and has a leading role in the upcoming CBS miniseries Aftershock with Cicely Tyson and Tom Skerritt. In addition, Ray J has appeared in a number of national commercials.
Ray J volunteers for The Norwood Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization started by him and Brandy that is dedicated to providing underprivileged youth enrichment through the performing arts. He also enjoys dirt bike riding, basketball, cars, video games and listening to various types of music, especially hip-hop and rap.
