Romany Malco
Romany Malco can most recently be seen in the hit film Blades Of Glory, opposite
Will Ferrell and
Jon Heder. He is currently shooting the feature film Baby Mama for Universal starring
Tina Fey,
Amy Poehler and
Greg Kinnear. Other feature film credits include The 40 Year Old Virgin, for which he has earned critical praise for his performance as
Jay, the streetwise, trash-talking womanizer; the comedy Tuxedo opposite
Jackie Chan and
Jennifer Love Hewitt; and Jesse Peretz's comedy The Chteau, opposite his Virgin cast-mate
Paul Rudd. Malco will also re-team with Virgin director
Judd Apatow on an untitled project at Universal. Currently in development, this project is based on an original idea of Malco's. In addition to his cinematic accomplishments, Malco was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for 'Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series' and the NAMIC Vision Award for 'Best Actor in a Comedy' for his role in WEEDS.
The Brooklyn raised Malco began his career at the age of seven when he picked up a microphone and started rapping. As a teen, he formed the rap group 'R.M.G.' and signed a deal with Virgin Records. The group's name was changed to 'College Boyz' and their first big hit, Victim Of the Ghetto, went to #1 on the rap charts.
