Phoebe Cates
Phoebe Cates returns to the big screen in The Anniversary Party after starring in such diverse films as Princess Caraboo, Bodies, Rest & Motion, Drop Dead Fred, Shag, Bright Lights, Big City, Gremlins I And II, and Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Cates made her Broadway debut in 'The Tenth Man' at Lincoln Center, and her off-Broadway debut in 'The Nest Of The Wood Grouse' (a modern Russian play directed by Joe Papp) at the New York Shakespeare Festival. Other off-Broadway credits include Hero in 'Much Ado About Nothing' also at the NYSF, and in
David Henry Hwang's 'Rich Relations' at The Second Stage. Regionally Cates was seen as Nina in Chekov's 'The Seagull' and as Irina in Chekov's 'The Three Sisters' both directed by Des McAnuff at the La Jolla Playhouse, and as Juliet in 'Romeo And Juliet' at the Goodman Theater.
