Katrin Cartlidge Forum

by Jean Himebaugh Dear Katrin Cartlidge, I'm not sure if you really read these guestbook entries or not, but by chance you do, I would like to submit an idea for a movie. I know this sounds corny or even naive - but I was watching HBO the other night and saw Rosanna's Documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger" and it inspired me to joint down this idea for a specific part for any middle-aged actress to play that would be interested. In a nutshell - it could be a comedy, but I prefer it to be a drama in order to strike a "heart-felt" emotion to the audience and convey a message about how woman they are seen by others and by themselves. I am sincerely interested in telling this idea to an actress or a director who would take this into consideration seriously. But if this forum doesn't get read by Katrin Cartlidge - I feel really stupid and silly for even taking the time to write this entry. Please reply if this entry truly appeals to you, with honesty and sincerity. Comment on this...

by stefan I am really sad now, as I read few minutes ago, she died. I saw "No man's land" last week, a really great film. And I wondered who this woman is starring the journalist. I thought: hey I know this woman but can't remember her name and which film I saw her the last time. And so I surfed the web finding some information. And I was really afraid. She is already dead and I didn't get to know her as she was alive. Only as she is dead now, I know her and I wished she would live and show her great talent. Comment on this...

by sean Mccarthy I loved this woman. A great actress with incredible energy and passion. I was so saddened by the news of her death I could barely talk for two days. I had just finished watching "Career Girls" and was searching for more movies that she was in when the news of her death popped up on my screen. She was a rare talent and it's sad to think of all the performances she will never deliver and we will never see. Comment on this...
