What a wonderful, humanly sensitive man. Although you in the USA have probably seen it, I am just currently watching the 2nd series of 100 Centre Street. Such a moody, melancholy show yet touches every aspect, sensitively, of the human race. Funny, sad - I just love it.

Sidney Lumet is one of the most underappreciated American Directors of the last 50 years.

I think he is deserving of an Honorary Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

If you think this is a good idea please email me - and maybe together we can contact the decision makers to consider him for such an honour.
