Vincent D'Onofrio Forum

| by skeptical despite all of the points about Vincent being a wonderful actor, his parts in other films, really getting into his roles, etc. I must say that his character is so annoying I can't watch criminal intent. I like the program but once he comes on screen it instantly becomes less enjoyable to watch. It's a shame really, but I'll blame the writers and not Vincent for now (until I evaluate his other work) Comment on this... |

| by Xeresa I have been enthralled by the remarkable talent and charisma of Vincent D'Onofrio and it doesn't hurt that he is also incredibly sexy as well. He is equally adept at character roles as he is at leading man roles, and it truly infuriates me that he doesn't get the artistic recognition he deserves. I only hope that he continues acting for thrity or forty more years as I've become addicted to him and eagerly await each new movie and characterization. Vincent D'Onofrio is like a rare fine wine that only improves and matures with age. I pity his detractions who are unable to see beyong there nit-picking because they are truly missing out all that Vincent D'Onofrio is to those of us with the sensitivity to see it. | by What show? He is a young procurer of exotic autos for people, and a young film student follows him around filming him everywhere from the bathroom in his apartment to his work, and even on a date with another young lady. I saw it once on DirecTV, but forget the name of the movie... I looked in a few biography sites listing what he has been in as a star or supporting role... none of them list this show... Can anyone tell me what ti was called? Thak you, What Show? Comment on this... | ||||

| by LuvsRacquet I absolutely love Vincent; I can watch CI over and over again practically reciting the script. He is just such an awesome actor and not too bad on the eyes either. Something very sexy about him. I just hope he's taking care of himself physically; no more fainting episodes please. Comment on this... |

| by Deb I think Mr. D'Onofrio is an outstanding actor, who has the ability to make people believe whatever it is that he's doing. Regarding "horrible actor", Vincent's character "Robert Goren" is a highly intellectual person, who isn't always the best at communicating what he's thinking. So the long pauses, and different mannerisims is just a physical clue as to who Robert Goren really is. Remember, it's acting - not Mr. D'Onofrio's true self. I love the fact that he chooses roles that are challenging. That is the mark of a truly great actor - not the roles that will earn them recognition, but roles that are deep, and out-of-the ordinary. Great job, Mr. D'Onofrio - I look forward to seeing many more of your projects in the future. Even though you don't necessarily seek them out - I, too, also hope you get the recognition that you have definately earned. Keep up the superb work!! Comment on this... |

| by jaime a scott I think that Mr D'onofrio is one of the hardest working actors in the business. I only wish he would get more recognition for all of his prolific work. I shall be keeping him close to my heart forever. I Capricorn Jaime Comment on this... |

| by Roc I'd very much like to know what Vincent's heart is like. What HIS dreams and hopes are. I know he IS concerned about the plight of the poor. That intrigues me...interests me. What kind of PERSON are you Vincent? Does anyone really know. Two divorces; two kids; a career as a pretender. Where ARE we going? Yes, it's true, Vincent is very talented. But actors are so fortunate. They have an audience for their work. I know a good plumber...good musicians and conductors...good attorneys...and loads of other really talents AND caring people. Does anyone know whether or not he is kind-hearted, loving, considerate, patient, gracious... I'd like to write him and KNOW he's, at least, GOTTEN my communication. If anyone has his E-mail address or any other address where they've actually gotten a response, or at least, know for a fact that Vincent's received they're letter or note, let me know, would you? It would be much appreciated. Meanwhile, I missed "Thumbsucker" when it was showing here in Los Angeles. Has anyone seen it. How did Vincent do? I hope he gets a REAL break and does something like "A Streetcar Named Desire" or something comparable. But...then again...is that what he's really looking for? What does he consider his ideal role? Oh well, enough from me... See ya, my dears. Comment on this... | ||||

| by Tina I think that he is a great actor. He is able to put himself totally into character, no matter what kind of character he is playing. The first thing I ever saw him in was Full Metal Jacket,he really blew my mind. I didn't start getting a crush on him until I got into Law and Order CI.This character has a reoccuring role in my wet dreams. Comment on this... |

| by Hara Paper I applaud Vincent for his recent showdown with the NBC lawyer on what defines "sexual harassment". He is a character actor. In some of his roles he has played "the bad guy", like in "The Cell". That character definately had a lot of mental issues, including sexual problems. When Vincent does a role, he does an in depth study of whom he will portray. That's what makes him so good. In order to be the character, he has to investigate things that are completely foreign and at times uncomfortable to him. In the case of "The Cell", he studied serial killers and most likely sexual abuse cases, because that was the character he was playing. Without the knowledge, how can you step into a role blindly and be convincing. Vincent is my favorite actor. "Full Metal Jacket" had me hooked. I have watched that movie so many times and still find it more and more interesting each time. I love this talented man and can't wait to see more of his work. : ) Comment on this... |
