Trish & Alexandra ? (Tue Oct 4, 2005 6:03pm ET)report post
by Scott Horwath
Congratulations ~ Trish Goff ~ You seem to have paralleled the acting caliber of Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (Ally) who made it big with a novel at age 12 ? right ?
You both dwell upon a refreshing plateau of awareness / introspection. ~ conveyed successfully to the audience. ~ is this character a large part of the true you ?
Few in my book have done accomplished such an achievement. . . for eons. Your authentic presentation in ' Noise ' was moving ~ stunning. It made me feel better. Your 3rd person type character here seems to be a print of my own ~ to an extent. (Except I would have been afraid to march up and rap on this fruit cake's door.) (not really true Ally) Could this be a reason so many savored every second of 'Noise' ? . . . filmed in a quiet place . . . in N.Y. ~ direction was thoughtfully utilized ~ brief orchestral excerpts fading in and out well throughout. (woops ~ did I use a gerund phrase wrong ?)
~ You & Ally are great catalysts here ~ stirred together you made the movie hum, implode and then explode ~
How long did the filming take for this one ? ('Noise')
Were there many retakes ?
I am a native of Southern Minnesota. I am there right now. Minneapolis.
I lived in Syracuse N.Y. for 3 years. I lived in Western Europe for a while. I lived in New Orleans for a year. I lived in Marquette, Michigan for 3 years. I travelled on the road a lot . . . performing.
I have a son in Greenpoint, N.Y.
I am a pianist and composer.

Have fun spicing up both sides of the world Ally and Trish.

~ like with those sweet crunchy sandwiches on 'Breakfast Club' Ally ~

Nice Gestures (Tue Oct 4, 2005 6:36pm ET)report post

I agree 100% with Darius Mazaheri. I am drawn in immediately to Ally's characters ~ she has represented the broad diversity of the character spectrum. Did you say you liked vodka (by the drinking fountain) in the 'Breakfast Club', Ally ? ~ or has my audio frequency modifier gone bad. I flipped when you said you came to hang out at the high school because you had nothing better to do. You always make every line as good as it can be Ally. The truth is ~ in 1988 ~ a girl asked me ~ " who is your favorite actress " ~ I snapped back "Ally Sheedy" ~ so then she started to act as Ally did in "The Breakfast Club", facial gestures, body language and all.

Dear Ally Sheedy

You are a greatest actress who I've never ever seen in my whole life. High Art was one of the evidence. After having seen this movie, I have told to myself that she is the BEST! it is not a flattery, you totally deserve that. The way you acted, the way you looked were absolutely gorgeous. You deserve more than a superstar.I wish you all the best and continue making more movies for us. Your movies are as Masterpieces for me. God bless you and your family.

An idea inspired from viewing the documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger". (Sat Aug 23, 2003 4:02am ET)report post
by Jean Himebaugh
Dear Ally Sheedy,

I'm not sure if you really read these guestbook entries or not, but by chance you do, I would like to submit an idea for a movie.

I know this sounds corny or even naive - but I was watching HBO the other night and saw Rosanna's Documentary, "Searching for Debra Winger" and it inspired me to joint down this idea for a specific part for any middle-aged actress to play that would be interested.

In a nutshell - it could be a comedy, but I prefer it to be a drama in order to strike a "heart-felt" emotion to the audience and convey a message about how woman they are seen by others and by themselves.

I am sincerely interested in telling this idea to an actress or a director who would take this into consideration seriously. But if this forum doesn't get read by Ally Sheedy - I feel really stupid and silly for even taking the time to write this entry.

Please reply if this entry truly appeals to you, with honesty and sincerity.
