In 2000 she voiced a character in the animated feature The Emperor's New Groove (along with JUST SHOOT ME star David Spade) and was also featured in the independent film Manna From Heaven, with Shirley Jones, Louise Fletcher and Cloris Leachman, filmed in her hometown of Buffalo, New York.
In addition to her role on JUST SHOOT ME, in 1999 Malick pulled double duty as famous advice columnists/twin sisters Abigail Van Buren and Ann Landers in the cable telefilm Take My Advice: The Ann And Abby Story.
She has made numerous television guest appearances on series such as The X-Files, Cybill and Civil Wars as well as NBC's Seinfeld, L.A. Law and Mad About You. Prior to JUST SHOOT ME, however, she was probably best known for her portrayal of Judith Tupper Stone on the comedy series Dream On, for which she garnered four Cable ACE Awards as Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
She has also starred in the television movies Paper Dolls, Dynasty: The Miniseries, Apollo II, Perfect Body and cable's North Shore Fish, in a role she originated on stage. Additionally she has played recurring roles on NYPD Blue, Anything But Love, Baywatch and Kate & Allie.
Also on stage, she has been seen in Guys And Dolls, Mame, Bah! Humbug and the Los Angeles production of Oliver Hailey's Round Trip, for which she was nominated for the Artistic Directors Award as Best Lead Actress in a Play in 1995.
Her other film credits include The American President, Scrooged, Funny About Love, Bugsy and 1998's independently released Divorce: A Contemporary Western, in which she played opposite her JUST SHOOT ME compatriot Enrico Colantoni.
After working briefly for then-Congressman from Buffalo Jack Kemp in Washington, D.C., and a five-year stint as a Wilhelmina fashion model in New York, Paris and Madrid, Malick launched her acting career. Malick is currently married and she and her husband have a charitable organization, A Drop In The Bucket, which supports a medical facility in Africa and an orphanage in Tijuana.
