This woman is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things to happen to independent film in quite some time. Her performances are brilliant in all of the films she does; Pieces of April, Far From Heaven, The Green Mile, The Safety of Objects... She is wonderful in movie after movie. She just lights up the screen and steals every scene she's in. She made Pieces of April funny in scenes that were otherwise tragic and sad as a woman staring death in the face. She truly deserved the Oscar for this role and for all the others. Someday the Academy will realize their mistake in not giving this woman the statue for her incredible accompolishments. Until then, I can only smile as I sit back and watch another brilliant performance by Patricia Clarkson.

I saw her last nite in "Station Agent."
She is simply amazing.
Lovely.
Sigh.

Ms. Clarkson, if you ever read this, it would make my day to hear from you.
