I just watched kindergarten cop for the third time (insomnia has me watching bad movies in hopes of sleeping) and for the third time Arnold is placed with this totally interesting woman and gives her up for a younger chick who doesn't have nearly the something (on screen or in character) as the cop he is partnered with. It is not unusual in movies for the Lead character to reject the bright woman for the airhead. Started with Destry Rides again, but at least Destry had the excuse Marlene Detrich died before the final credits. The Pamela Reed character was perhaps the only well acted role in the movie besides the evil momma. And the woman Reed creates in the role is the kind of woman a career cop would fall in love with. Only in Hollywood would someone prefer that dumb blonde to the Reed Character. For more than a one night stand anyway. What is really weird to me is that they are supposed to be pretending to be man and wife, and they actually seemed better matched in the sham than most couples I know

I am surprised that it has been so long since anyone posted a message about Pamlea Reed! I would think that a pretty lady like Pam would have a lot of fans wanting to share there thoughts about her. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who knows what she is doing these days. I am really hoping to see her in more movies or series! I thought that the parts that she played on "Grand" and "The Home Court" were surperb. I think that it would be really nice if she could make it into a show that would last!

I thought it was real SH_TTY for those townpeople to treat that guy like trash, sure he raped women, but still he wasn't all that bad. He seemed nice, and the only reason why he raped women, was because his mother left them and he started to hate women. I guess we all have a little bad inside all of us.

I Grew Up With Pam (Tue Feb 4, 2003 12:49pm ET)report post
by Judy
I grew up with Pam Reed (as she was known then) in the Washington, DC suburb of Silver Spring, MD. We attended the same junior (White Oak) and senior (Springbrook) high school and we were friends. Fans will be happy to know that Pam was pretty and popular and very bright. She was a sweet and lovely girl and knew how to be a friend to others. Of course, I am very happy about her success.

Dear Judy,

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have had the chance to read an entry that was subbmitted by someone who actually knew Palela Reed! I am very happy for you for having had the chance to know such a wonderful person. Now I realize that it was almost three months since you subbmitted your message. However, if you are still around and still surfing this site, I have some questions for you. I would be interested in knowing whether you have ever kept in touch with her since you left high school. I know how friends tend to drift apart after long periods of time. I have searched all over the Internet for an address in which Pam can be reached. I have written a bunch of letters to different addresses that I have found, but I never received any type of response. The only evidence that I have that she has been getting my mail is that none of it has come back to me with the envelope marked return to sender. This has happened with some of the stars that I have tried to contact. The possibilities in my mind range from my letters having gotten lost in the mail to Pamela having chosen to ignore them to her responces to me having been lost in the mail. In any case, I would be interested in knowing whether you know of an address in which Pam can be reached. I would also appreciate any information that you have about how Pam feels about getting fan mail and whether she is usually willing to respond to it. Also, do you know if Pamela is planning to be in any new movies or new series' in the near future? Take care for now and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Smartboy

I am very happy to be the first person to submit a message about Pamela Reed! In my opinion, she is a beautiful woman and a rather talented actress. I watched both "Grand" and "The Home Court" quite religiously. I was sad to see that neither of those programs made it. A while back, I found an address for her on the Internet. I have written her several letters at this address and told her how special I think she is. Unfortunatley, I have never managed to get a response. The only indication that I have that she has been getting my letters is the fact that none of them have come back to me. I have written letters to some actresses and they have been returned to me saying that there either is no such address or that it is the wrong address for that lady. If anyone out there has any information about whether or not she ever responds to fan mail, I would like to know. Also, I would be interested in knowing whether she is working on any new movies or TV programs.
