I love Wizard of Oz! Its the best movie there ever was made! I think me and my daughter watch it everyday! When i was little the movie scared me sometimes it still does. I think Judy Garland was a great actress!! She cared about others. I just wish she still was alive!!

My favourite film of hers was undoubtedly M.M.I.S.L. What a fantastic cast! What fantastic songs! They sure don't make them like that anymore. Pure Bliss!!

Fan's? Look, whoever you are, you aren't Judy Garland, because Judy Garland was a woman of incredible intelligence, and she would never put an apostophe where it DOES NOT belong (the word is 'fans,' not 'fan's.') Apostrophes denote ownership and possession. Another thing that the REAL Judy did was become frustrated with "uninteresting, unintelligent" people (her very words).
Eric.

Judy Garland also hated rude, nasty and hateful people.

Dear Sarah,

I totally agree with you! Imagine all the releases of new material we've had after her death. There always seems to be new finds, as this woman loved and desired to perform. There are people out there who wouldn't consider her a role model, but if you look at how hard she worked and more importantly how much she cared about her work and the people who became part of that body of work -- you'd find there is so much more to Judy Garland than most people know. Gotta love Garland and her sheer energy!

Judy Garland Forever (Sat May 17, 2003 4:27am ET)report post

I have great admiration for this little lady (who was 4'11", not 5'0") who worked for about 45 of her 47 years. She gave us 43 films, 90 records, 14 albums, hundreds of radio performances, about 30 TV appearances, about 1500 live stage shows and The Judy Garland Show. She was a world-class talent and a humble, approachable person who loved her fans. What a combination! I love her!! She is loved by people of all ages - how many entertainers of today can claim that distinction? And more of her movies are coming out on DVD now than of any other movie star. Why? Because she had real talent and her movies SELL.
