by Rob I'm not religious, but that seems appropriate now that Lynne is no longer with us. I've never seen the Practice and haven't really followed her acting career much. I know of her mainly for her rendition of "Bless the Lord my soul" in the movie soundtrack of "Godspell". If anyone reading this didn't know Lynne Thigpen could sing and want something concrete to remember her by, go get the album and listen to the track. You'll be uplifted. Comment on this...

by Jan I am so sorry to hear of her death, I enjoyed her so much. From what I saw of her work, she had talent and grace. I have looked to see how she died, as I thought she had been in good health. Thank you for providing space to let us know how she "passed". Thank you Ms. Thigpen, and her family for sharing her with us. Comment on this...

| by Andy I know now that it has been a few months since her untimely passing but I was the District tonight when I saw that she had passed away. She was a great actress and the acting community has suffered a great loss of not just a talented person, but a great human being. Comment on this... | |||||||||

by Louise The cause of Lynne Thigpen's death was at first specified as "unknown". She apparently had a massive heart attack or stroke, which was reflected in this evening's program. I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting her and her husband in NY. The Ella we came to know and love onscreen was the Lynne in real life. She was a divine gift. My deepest condolences to her husband, who was so supportive of her, her family and her colleagues. Comment on this...

by Stefane Looking at the ending of tonight's show of the "District", I just come to learn that she has died. Because of her is one of the main reason's that makes the "District" what it is. Her character is strong, supportive and full of intergrity. She will be truly missed. Comment on this...
