Helen Shaver

Since her directorial debut first season on POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY with the episode entitled The Bones of St. Anthony, Award Winning actor Helen Shaver has gone on to direct an episode of FAME L.A. (Boys and the Band), an episode of the western series DEAD MAN'S GUN (Stagecoach Marty, starring Jo Beth Williams), and an episode of THE OUTER LIMITS (Last Supper starring Fred Savage).

As an actor, Helen returns as Rachel Corrigan in POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY. She has received CableACE nominations for her work both in POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY and her role in Sandkings, the premiere episode that launched MGM's popular anthology series THE OUTER LIMITS. She received the Bronze Leopard Award at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland for her performance in DESERT HEARTS, and is a Genie Award Best Actress winner and nominee for IN PRAISE OF OLDER WOMEN and WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND? respectively.

Shaver's feature film credits include THE OSTERMAN WEEKEND, THE COLOR OF MONEY, THE BELIEVERS, ZEBRAHEAD, THE CRAFT, THAT NIGHT and OPEN SEASON. On television she has starred in an episode of Showtime's REBEL HIGHWAY and has played lead and guest-starring roles in mini-series, television movies and series including UNITED STATES, WIOU, HILL STREET BLUES and AMAZING STORIES.

Her performance opposite Alan Alda in the Broadway production of Neil Simon's JAKE'S WOMEN garnered her a Theatre World Award. She is currently working on a children's book entitled THE RAINBOW BODY.
