While studying Journalism and Dance at East Carolina University, Emily Procter landed a job as a weather anchor for the local CBS affiliate, WNCT. Deciding to take her chances, Procter moved west and immediately began acting in various television comedies and dramas. Her segue into film came with a lead role opposite David Schwimmer and Chris Cooper in HBO's acclaimed comedy Breast Men. She also starred opposite Leslie Nielsen and Judge Reinhold in The Family Plan.

She will next be seen in Guenivere with Sarah Polley and Steven Rea, the comedy The Big Tease, and independent features Kingdom Come and Tiara Tango.
