Conchata Ferrell
A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Conchata Ferrell has performed extensively in live theatre, winning a Drama Desk Award and an Obie for her fine performance in the off-Broadway production of The Sea Horse. Her impressive list of television credits includes several made-for-TV movies, including Oprah Winfrey's Amy & Isabelle and the gripping drama Stranger Inside, in which she portrayed Mama Cass. She also starred in the TV movies Sweet Dreams, Backfield in Motion, Chains of Gold and Opposites Attract.
In 1986, Ferrell starred as Susan Bloom in the hit television series L.A. Law, a role that earned her an Emmy nomination. She went on to star in the series Peaceable Kingdom, and in two seasons of Hearts Afire. She also starred in the television series Townies and the mini-series The Buccaneers. She has made numerous guest appearances on such shows as Touched By an Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Murder She Wrote, to name just a few, and has lent her vocal talents to several animated projects, including the series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
