Bitty Schram Forum

by Steve Crosetti Monk needs a counterbalance; someone with a distinctive, vibrant personality. This is why it worked with Schram and failed to work with Howard. What's sort of bizarre is that Howard plays the part on one level. It's just too intense all the time. My fav. Bitty Schram/Monk show is "...The Blackout" one. The Schram/Shalhoub chemistry is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment on this...

by Blankman To demonstrate respect for the viewers who have endured 4 years of Traylor Howard, wouldn't it be wise of the studio/network to not exercise Howard's contract option and re-instate Bitty Schram for the entire final year?! Comment on this...

by Casino The Natalie intro episodes had Traylor Howard acting in a dominating way. Natalie was also overly familiar with the other characters. How can this be credible when encountering a new social group?! The viewers would be resenting a replacement and this would have the effect of intensifying the hostility. Natalie had NOT earned the right to act this way. Even if it was believable. Which it isn't. Comment on this...

by Chase Nevada On the 3rd year videodisc interview with Traylor Howard, the actress comments upon originally auditioning for the part when the first year filming was to commence. If Howard is considered by the studio and/or network to be a superior replacement, why wasn't Howard cast instead of Bitty Schram?? Comment on this...

by Frank Shaft The writers/producers seemed to want to incorporate aspects of the Sharona character into the Natalie character. Unfortunately, this has the bizarre effect of creating contradictory characteristics rendering the Natalie character as not believable. In some scenes, Natalie seems to regard Monk with real contempt and then overwhelms him with exaggerated sympathy. This makes their interaction too mechanical and contrived. When Natalie attempts sarcasm, it appears demented. Comment on this...

by Dan Briggs I get the impression that the studio somehow maneuvred Bitty Schram into quitting the show. Possibly because, behind the scenes, Shaloub and Schram did not really get on. The problem is that the supposed "chemistry" of Shaloub and Howard is non-existent. Traylor Howard acts with all the passion of a programmed android. Comment on this...

by Valentin Abreu Bitty Schram is a fine actor. I enjoy watching Monk and her role makes me smile. Not to mention she's a very beautiful lady. I wish her all the best. Comment on this...

Comment on this...

| by Monica The show became so pathetic and boring without sharona! She was the life of the sitcom..the contrast of her common sense and Monk's special way of interpreting reality was very funny. Now it's over. I don't see it anymore. They should have given her a raise. The girl's worth it! Comment on this... | ||||
