I saw Chris in Manchester but stupidly didn't stop him, my son is a big fan and would love his autograph. Can anyone please tell me where I could write to him. I want to ask him around for tea - I do a mean shepherd's pie and I hear he mashes potatoes like a gud 'un.

I can't believe they killed off Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. I am so pissed! The BBC needs to drag his butt back to the Tardis. I don't care how much money it takes or what kind of disruptions in space-time. Eccleston needs to be smacked in the head for quitting the show! I'm sorry, it was just so unexpected.

To everyone upset about Chris leaving Dr. Who:

Please do not blame Chris. He wanted to do only a short time as the Doctor because he has so many other commitments. He was also afraid (according to some reports) of becoming "typecast" as only the Doctor and he didn't want that. He wants to be able to use his talent for many, many different roles and he is perfectly capable of them as we saw in "Heros" and Elizabeth (the movie). I have worked with a few actors before and they all agree being typecast as only one type of character can be the death of a good actor. I have had the privilage of knowing a few of them and I understand their position. Hope you all do too.

I hated Dr. Who I never understood it, but Chris did a "Fantastic" job and I think we should bring him back! I sound crazy but he makes doctor who exciting and understandable, I say we REBEL!! I know I sound stupid but why not. He's hooked me on this show and I don't wanna see it unless he's in it! Encore we want more give us what we came here for!! Who's with ME??....Anyone...anyone at all? I am alone...JK come on ppl lets bring him back! Big smile

I'd love to see that too but, I don't think its gonna happen. Dr. Who is reportedly going on hiatus until 2009. But hey, you can watch Chris as the Doctor over & over if you purchase the 2005 season on DVD. It's available right now!!! I just love that smile of his and I especially enjoyed his little dance with Rose! Like he always says, "FANTASTIC!"
