Older than he says? (Fri Feb 20, 2004 1:41am ET)report post

After quite a bit of web surfing, I discovered that Miguel claims to have been born in 1955. I doubt it. It is strange that his father's career ends at the point his begins. Twilight Zone music please.

i first really noticed miguel ferrer in the standing. oddly enough i have been watching him scince robocop but, because of my age (now 20) i never knew who hw was i just htought he was cool. I still think he is a very intense, talented and mostly cool man. i have developed a little crush Smile after finding what little information there is out there on him. now i look forward to seeing him again in crossing jordan and anything else he decides to grace us with.

I understand that Miguel Ferrer did not set out to be an actor, that music was his first love, but when you review his pedigree you realize why it was so easy for him to fall into both professions so easily. He is, after all the son of Rosemary Clooney (singer) and Jose Ferrer (actor). AND he does possess quite a share of his parents' respective talents. He is definitely one of my favorite character actors, and I am really enjoying his portrayal of Dr. Garett Macy in "Crossing Jordan". I hope he continues to work in movies and TV, and that we see a lot more of him. Like his father, and like so many other fine actors and actresses, such as Christopher Lloyd and Kathy Bates, he tends to get typecast. I suppose this is inevitable, and hey, these folks have to work, and put food on the table. Also, the above actors have made their share of turkies, but fortunately there's enough of their really good stuff to make the rest forgettable.
