Ron is great, but the other characters in the show are very hard to watch. Too much with the bad attitude towards a fellow officer who is trying to get back his life after being shot in the line of duty.

The captain is not believable. Make him more of a guy who is trying to help a fellow officer.

Put more into the cases and get rid of those stupid cops with the stupid attitudes. Not at all believable. Very laughable.

Also, regarding his partner. She is a good actor but I can't understand her when she talks.

Please give the dog more time. Actually he is a better actor than most of the cast.

Thanks

Myrna

I actually really like him in this - however, his partner is doing a really REALLY bad New York accent (cuz I KNOW I don't sound like that!) Smile

Did you ever notice that she seems to always have a coffee in her hand? I mean I understand it is New York and there is a Starbucks on every corner but come on now, too much coffee isn't that good for a person.

I liked Ron Eldard a lot in his first movie, True Love, but he played an
Italian American role and he does not look Italian. I'd guess a mix of Irish and German. I know he was from a large, poor family, but does anone know his actual ethnicity?

Blind Justice (Wed Mar 16, 2005 3:36am ET)report post

Ron Eldard is great. But, please get rid of wife. She is so not good enough for him. If she thinks she can do better than Ron, please have her pack her bag ...again. I was so sad when she came back and sat on the the bench with him. He should hook up with someone deserving, not his partner, but someone who has the sense and sensitivity to stay with this gorgeous, never giving up to pressure, and talented man. As far as the character who plays wife...who needs her. She brings his character and the show down. It was like in E.R. when Mark's first wife kept giving him grief. The character Ron is playing does not need anymore of that. I hope the writers will write in a person who is sympathetic to his needs and not a whiny significant other. Love the show. Wife must go !!!!

I kind of agree, but from what I read about it, he had cheated on her and such - they had kind of an unstable marriage when the shooting happened. She stuck around and nursed him, but now is freaked that he is going back. Remember, he kind of shuts her out too. THAT said, they really haven't given enough of a back story where you have any real empathy for her character. They need to dig in there or have her lighten up b/c viewers aren't resonating...

On tonight's eppy it seemed like she was warming up to Jim. She seems to be lightening up and she seems to be really in love with him a lot more now.

I really hope that this show does not make Jim and his partner end up together. It is just too original.

I think the struggle between him and his wife brings more of a reality to the show, that a wife is not just going to adjust so quickly to her husband being recently blinded.

No, he is not blind. He did say he went through rehab at a school for the blind to prepare for did role.
I think he is terrific in "Blind Justice." I hope the show finds it's audience and is a big hit.

Am I the only one old enough to see how much he looks like James Dean? His character, Jim Dunbar, has the same vulnerable/tough thing going as James Dean had in "East of Eden"

I was just curious, Ron isn't blind is he....... he's been in a few movies where he plays blind, such as "Deep Impact", Scent of a Woman", and his new serious "Blind Justice" I don't know too much about him but was just curious about that detail.

He wasn't blind in "Scent of a Woman" - Al Pacino was.

:} I really think Ron Eldard is good actor. I hope he makes more movies. It dissapoints me to know that he had ended his relationship with Julianna Marguilies. ( Whew! They have been together since 1991 ended in 2003!) I thought they were such a good looking couple! He is very cute, and yes he has that innocence that when he speaks, it will make you listen. I am looking forward for that upcoming new series that he is on in 2005! It is a show called " Blind Justice?!" I think?! It will be a replacement for NYPD Blue. Can't you tell that I have been following his career?? Smile I sure hope he gets back out with Julianna, I do like her also!
Sincerely,
Charlyn

I think Ron is great, in this and he's one of my favourite actor's. I love him as Durant, and i love the bit where he and Elvis (Cliff Wolcott), were having the argument about the word Limo, and whether it's in the dictionary or not.

He's soo goodlooking, and is really talented.

Lins Smile
