George Lopez Biography (2)

George Lopez is one of the premiere comedic talents in entertainment. Maintaining an active schedule as a stand-up comedian, Lopez continues to sell out comedy clubs and theaters across the country. Until recently he hosted his own radio show in Los Angeles, where he was the first Latino to headline the keystone morning radio slot on an English-language station.

George has appeared on over 70 TV programs, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Latino Laugh Festival, and is a frequent host on Que Locos. He has also earned kudos for his dramatic role in the feature Bread and Roses. Additionally, he has recurring roles in The Brothers Garcia and Resurrection Boulevard, and was is the indie Real Women Have Curves.

Living in his native LA with his wife and family, George devotes much of his energy to cultural and charitable events. He was recently named Honorary Mayor of LA for his extensive fundraising efforts benefiting earthquake victims, and has received the Manny Mota Foundation Community Spirit Award. He has sat on the board of the Starlight Foundation, which benefits terminally ill children, and We Care for Youth, which assists young people in developing job skills.
