of course, at first, the news was really shocking, so saddening... but as time goes by, we will come to realize that it really is a part of life... to be happy, to celebrate life, and suddenly, to be sorrowful because the life that we borrowed from God ended... it's just a matter of living life, accepting what this life could bring, and letting go of everything we don't have control of... we just have to leave it to God!

Can't really explain how shocking it was, and still is, to me that he's gone. When I first saw it on the news I covered my mouth and started crying. I didn't even know Heath as a personal friend or anything like that but I knew I liked him a lot as an actor and as a person. I am still very much in shock...Never thought it would be him...Anyway, I made a rememberance poster of him to put up on my mirror just for me to remember him...He will truly be missed by me and many others I'm sure.

I was so shocked to hear this news today. He has always been one of my favorite actors and I've always looked up to him and admired him. I hope that he will forever be recognized as one f the greatest actors of my generation. Best wishes and prayers to his family in dire need of them; his step mom and dad, ex fiance, girl friend, and daughter..... anyone who has been touched by this wonderful young man.

Rest in Peace Heath and may you forever stay in our hearts and prayers.

Heath Ledger did not really have the mental capacity to memorize long
lines; that is, in the time needed
to really 'nail' a part down.
My sister is a gaffer, around him all of the time. She confidently revealed/mentioned this fact, yet ever-so-humbly, at an actors guild meeting on August 6, 2007; that is, after it was kind of fished out of her. This is approximately the time when Heath Ledger really started to abuse himself with illegal prescription uppers/ medications, making it even harder to memorize crucial in-depth-scripts or obtain the proper amount of required sleep. He really began appearing much older than his actual chronological age in the late 1990's.

He would have served much better as a cameo type actor. But he and his elder family knew the right people early on in his career. As was Brook Shields, Heath was plugged-into and shoved into sophisticated roles through cliche nepotism while being in somewhat of a daze.

Honestly, save your defamatory and cruel words for a more accepting time, surely not right after this well-loved actor's untimely death. As a person, you need to look in the mirror and question your intentions on writing this on a forum dedicated to this man's life, not some attention and tabloid-saturated sad life that is your own.

So terribly sad to hear the news this afternoon of Heath's death. He was a wonderfully entertaining actor and from what I have heard, read and seen, a loving father. I feel the worst for little Matilda...to never really know her Daddy except through movies and other's memories of him. RIP Heath...

But Heath was not good with his child.
We have witnessed this.
We live nearby.
He spent very little time with his child.
In his death, folks accentuate his good points.
The Wwestern World dished too much out for this guy.
He was handed the world on a silver latter.
And why so ?

What a wonderful actor...he's streets ahead of the Brad Pitts and Tom Cruise's of our day...what style, what talent!!! I saw him in Brokeback mountain, and now I'm an avid fan!!!!
