| by concerned rock fan This is part of a radio interview that Carlos Mencia recently did:- Carlos: i go in there (the Comedy Store) and show em what can be done and they walk around and go "oh my god, everything i heard about Carlos is right - that guy is sick!" nope. i mean i'll walk into the comedy store dude after legends walk in there at like one oclock in the morning in front of twelve drunk people..and i'll get a standing ovation. cos i love that place, i mean it just..dude..it just..ohhh...i mean. that's where i got the nickname "the punisher". i got the nickname "the punisher" cos..er..who was in there?....oh yeah, er Chris Rock was on stage and i was with some buddies and they were like "Man, Chris Rock is unbelievable, oh my god!" DJ: they're all like creaming their pants over Chris Rock? Carlos: yeah. and i went "he's great, he's awesome" and i disappeared and i told the guys "i wanna go on after Chris". so i went on after Chris, and I just destroyed the room. and then, from that point on, all the comics were like "that's the guy man, that's the guy man, he's the one, the punisher, right there". | by Missy H. I would like to thank Chris Rock for his time, help, and relief efforts to our New Olreans victims. Please know that your assistance and support is greatly appreciated. I was a nurse at Charity Hospital during the storm. Myself and a very good friend/co-worker risked our lives to save others. Although we have had our mishaps as a result of this event (my friend lost everything, including her house), we now find the entire experience as very rewarding. We made a difference.
