I would just like to comment that i think Bill Murray is a fantastic actor! If you have ever had the pleasure of watching Kingpin you will see how funny he truly is with the right script, he has been in some shocking films true, however i don't feel this was his fault, he was just let down by some lousy scripts, infact his brilliance in some films saves them. The first time i watched groundghog day i thought it was crap, but i watched it again a year or so later and am now a huge fan of the movie, he truly made that film have a cult following, it is the same with the life aquatic....also lost in translation showed another side of his acting abilities. In England where i come from, he is a living legend! ALL HAIL THE BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill, You Will Not Get Hurt In This I Promise! (Mon Feb 26, 2007 12:53pm ET)report post
by Tom Modern
Bill, my friend had this idea for Celebrity Quarterback during the Superbowl. It works like this BIll, whoever the trailing team is in the 4th Quarter, they get a "Celebrity Quarterback" for 1 series of Downs. You intrested Bill? You get to call any plays you want. You wear a Uniform---but no helmet (for the camera that's all). You can wisecrack and that whole jag as much as you want Bill (just like that Baseball bit right?). You also can drink as much as you want before/during/after the plays. The NFL of course would not be liable for any damages (me either), but nothing would happen anyway Bill, so that's just peripheral chatter. Do we have a repoire here Bill? I think we do, I sense a slight grin there babe.... So it'd be like this:

"Patriots leading 24-20. 12 minutes remaining. Manning is OUT. What's this? Bil Murray's comingonto the field? What's going on here folks? He's actually in the Colts huddle. I think he's gonna' play. This could get ugly folks I don't know what Tony Gunzi's thinking here. Oh, I just been informed the NFL wrote this into the game. Murray gets a set of downs for the trailing team. Murray's back in the Shotgun already! I don't know if that's a good idea but... He's back to pass. Screen out to the flat---caught! 2nd down. he's sacked! He's sacked hard down at the 25 yard line! Murray's not getting up...oh yes he is. He walks it off. What? he just helmet slapped an opposing player! ALmost some fisticuffs there. 3rd Down, handoff, he breaks it---first down!

Bill, you could eventually SCORE and do a Endzone Dance with microphone! Maybe Win the Superbowl. I will pitch the idea to NFL ASAP babe. And don't worry. You will not get hurt, you are charmed. It will make you play better too (the fear of injury). You'll run like a bastard down those sidelines. Nobody'll catch ya'!

Question about Bill Murray (Fri Nov 26, 2004 6:42pm ET)report post
by Jeri
Did Bill Murray ever turn down a part for the role of Batman? Someone I know said that he was selected for the role of Batman, and he turned it down. Is that true? I can not see Bill Murray portraying the role of a serious super hero. He just has a different sort of humor for certain movies and Batman is not one of them.

That would of been retarded, there were worse possible selections then murray, but I dont believe that rumor. How silly, he was the ghost busters man then.
