Biography #2 (for The Italian Job)
Edward Norton most recently starred in 25th Hour, a film directed by Spike Lee. He also appeared in Frida, for which he wrote the screenplay (un-credited). On stage, Norton recently completed a sold-out three-month run Off-Broadway in the Signature Theater Company's highly acclaimed production of Burn This.Additionally, Norton had starring roles in Primal Fear, Everyone Says I Love You, The People vs. Larry Flynt, Rounders, American History X, Fight Club, Keeping the Faith, The Score, Death to Smoochy and Red Dragon. He made his directorial debut with Keeping the Faith, which he also produced.
Norton has received numerous honors, including an Academy Award, nomination for Best Actor for his performance in American History X and a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Primal Fear. That performance also earned him the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has been recognized for his work by the National Board of Review, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the Boston Society of Film Critics and the Texas Film Critics Association.
