Brent Spiner
Spiner starred as the android Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation, the sequel to the original Star Trek television series. He has guest-starred in the series Star Trek: Enterprise, Joey, Friends, Frasier, The Outer Limits, Mad About You, The Twilight Zone, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Night Court and Cheers. He has appeared in many television movies, including Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Jack, The Ponder Heart, Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long, Crazy from the Heart, Family Sins, Manhunt for Claude Dallas and Crime of Innocence, and the mini-series Robert Kennedy & His Times.
Spiner was most recently featured in the Academy Award-winning film The Aviator. He has also starred in four Star Trek features and had roles in a number of other films, including Independence Day, I Am Sam, Stardust Memories, Dude, Where's My Car?, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, The Master of Disguise, Phenomenon and Out to Sea.
He has appeared in a number of Broadway plays, including A History of the American Film, Sunday in the Park with George, Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Three Musketeers, Life Times Three and 1776, for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. In 1984, his role in the Los Angeles production of Little Shop of Horrors brought Spiner to that city, where he eventually took up permanent residence.
Spiner was born and raised in Houston. He lives in Los Angeles.
