David Arquette
Arquette was also recently seen in Stephen King's supernatural thriller Riding The Bullet with Jonathan Jackson, Erika Christensen and Barbara Hershey. He starred alongside Emily Mortimer and Tim Blake Nelson in A Foreign Affair; played opposite William H. Macy in Stealing Sinatra for Showtime Films; and co-starred with rap star DMX in the urban action thriller Never Die Again for director Ernest Dickerson and based on the story by African-American cult novelist Donald Goines. Also scheduled for release this year, Arquette stars in Happy Here and Now directed by Michael Almereyda.
Arquette recently participated in the 2005 ESPN NFL Football Game where using artificial intelligence technology, he became a part of the game as himself, controlling his own team, competing against gamers and calling his own shots.
Arquette top-lined the successful comedies See Spot Run and Never Been Kissed. He became a household name by starring as Deputy Dewey in the Scream trilogy. Original plans called for Arquette's character to be killed off in the first installment but his scene stealing efforts assured Dewey's longevity in the subsequent installments. He received Blockbuster Awards for his roles in Never Been Kissed and Scream II. In 2002, he starred in Eight Legged Freaks for producers Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin.
Discovered at Sundance for his role in Johns in 1997, Arquette has been involved as both actor and producer in five films that have made their debut at the same prestigious Film Festival. In 1997, he starred and co-produced the Sundance entry Dream with the Fishes, written and directed by Finn Taylor. At Sundance in 1998, Arquette starred opposite Stanley Tucci and Kate Capshaw in The Alarmist based on Keith Reddin's play Life During Wartime.
Arquette often gives time to charitable causes, particularly children's organizations such as Camp Laurel, which provides a positive physical and mental escape from living with HIV/AIDS. In honor of his mother, who passed away from breast cancer, Arquette is also involved with various Breast Cancer benefits.
Currently, Arquette also serves as co-executive producer on Mix It Up for WE: Women's Entertainment Network.
