| by Gridger I just watched 'Flaming Brother' recently and I thought it was great. The perfect brotherly love (or gay love) bloodshed movie with great acting and a solid script. Don't watch the english dubbed version though. Just terrible. Chow Yun Fat was great in it. His one of my favourite Hong Kong action stars. Comment on this... |

| by Dennis Fidler chow yun fat is a great hong kong action star. he doesn't do marial arts like jet li, jackie chan or even bruce lee but his a much better actor than them hands down. I love some of his hong kong films such as a better tomorow & woo viet. his american movies however have not interested me in the slightest. they are even worse than van damme or segal movies. his worst yet would have to be bulletproof monk. i felt like stabbing my eyes with a kitchen knife knowing what chow yun fat has become today. this does not mean i hate him. what makes me like him is the legacy his left behind making great hong kong films. | by dash I'm very surprised that there is so little traffic on this page for this actor I've only seen him in the replacement killers which while not a masterpeice was moderately well made. Chow youn is on of the more popular asia hong kong style action heros in his contry but hasn't ever cought on like jet li or chan (jackie chan) . I'd guess the action film hong kong fans don't spend a lot of time posting comments on a site like this. American film makers don't do it as well it always tends to look like a hollywoodized imitation of sleek style. My favorite current actor in this genre would be chow yun fat Any one know where to find a list of all his filmographyx Or what ever you call an exhaustive list of previous work k k k k k k k g Comment on this... | ||||

| by Boyce I was completly oblivious to this amazing actor until I saw "The king and I" on cable two years ago. Then came "Crouching Tiger, hidden Dragon". Like millions of others, I was amazed. I also think Chow Yun- Fat could have won the best actor award at America's oscars. I wish they'd show more of Chow yun- Fat's earlier work on cable. I see none at blockbuster. So, it's frustrating. The movies they make in China these days are just breathtaking. Comment on this... |
