After a long career directing and producing a wide range of television series and movies for television, Iscove made his feature film directorial debut with the hit comedy She's All That, which starred Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook and featured hip-hop stars Lil' Kim and Usher. His next film, the teen comedy Boys and Girls, again teamed him with Freddie Prinze Jr.
Iscove's innovative work on the television production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella was a critical and ratings success for ABC-TV and was nominated for seven Emmy Awards in 1998, including Best Direction and Best Production. Iscove had previously won Emmy and Peabody Awards for his direction of Dorothy Hamill in Romeo & Juliet on Ice.
His prolific career includes producing and directing the critically acclaimed Fox series Profit and the telefilms Dark Angel, It Was Him or Us, Without Warning and Without Consent. He directed the pilots for The Flash and Sonny Spoon, as well as numerous movies for television, including Firestarter 2: Rekindled, Murder in My Mind, "Mission of the Shark: The Saga of the U.S.S. Indianapolis and Miracle on I-880. Series direction credits include such hits as Wiseguy, Miami Vice and 21 Jump Street."
Iscove studied dance at the Juilliard School and began his career assisting the late Broadway director and choreographer Michael Bennett. He directed and choreographed the Broadway production of Peter Pan, starring Sandy Duncan, and made his film debut as choreographer on Jesus Christ Superstar. He also choreographed the classic comedy Silent Movie for Mel Brooks.
