Tony Kaye is quite possibly the best short format director alive. Period. It is impossible at this moment in time to concieve of what this man is truly capable of in the feature arena. This man is such a perfectionist to the point of not only being woefully distraught about the final cut of his academy-award nominated directorial debut to the point of protesting it's release, he also ademently objected to having his name even associated with it, and sued Newline Cinema to the tune of 250mill. His balls alone are twice that of Scorsese's and countless other directors whose vision as well as free artistic expression have become pasturized and quashed by the studio system.
I for one can't wait to see the jaws drop to the floor upon the release of his next feature. I'm sure it will be just as or more stunning and impactful as History-X.
That aside. I genuinely respect Mr. Kaye and his work. Not to be a Tony Kaye sales agent....but
