| by john billings Some may think he is a great guy and overall nice guy. However I think it was a shame that he allowed the Flag OF THE UNITED STATES BE DISPLAYED BACKWARDS in the sene when Mark Wahlberg left the hanger after meeting with Danny Glover. I think the people and espechialy the troops over seas need an apology. jt Comment on this... |

He is seriously blessed to have had the opportunity to done the things that he has, his skill and determination is off the chain. I recently published a book entitled "Sir Braak the Bold and the Templar Nine" (My main character is a brother). And have also written a Mini-Series for Television...I just need to be pointed in the right direction on how to Market My Mini-Series. Would love some feed back. Thanks. We go way back, to the Pittsburgh house party days. Last time home, I spoke with one of your little league football coaches (opponent) who remember you and we talk about the movies you had been producing (Training Day, King Arthur) and he was so thrill to hear how well you were doing. | by So What I guess it does not matter what type of person this Antoine (use to be Tony in the hood back in the days) is truly about. Nothing. Maybe if he took responsibilities for all his kids, especially since he can afford to support them, he might be a role model in the African American community. I give a brother in jail more respect than a brother with money who doesn't take care of his own children. A rich Deadbeat is no better than a poor Deadbeat. Comment on this... | ||||

| by Robbina Mungo Magnificent! Intense! Powerful! A few words to describe the overwhelming feelings I experienced from viewing your film. Antoine Fuqua is a creative genius. We all have our own "demons" we battle each and everyday. Why must we get online and judge anyone? He is an American of African descent making great strides in the film industry. He directed a movie about King Arthur. King Arthur.....Do you get it? An African American male directing a film that would be given to a Caucasian male normally. Give him a break. I'm a 34yo African American female with a love for my fellow man. Hats off to you brother...you deserve it. Peace. Keep smiling making us feel.....so much. Comment on this... |

| by Moe Mr. Fuqua, I would like to say that I appreciate the work that you do. Your hard work serves as entertainment for me. But I truly see your great skill in each and every film that I view of yours. I am no expert but directing is a part of film that is most essential. I was totally captivated in viewing “Training Day,” so much so that I continued to press my back into the seat at the movies. I take nothing away from the great acting of Denzel but the way in which you shot each piece was breath taking (literally). The position and angle that each frame was shot in was almost a bit overwhelming because I was scared of Denzel the whole entire movie. I have seen many films in my life but no film has ever has this affect on me. Recently, I rented “Tears of the Sun” and too again you were spectacular. I love military films, grew up watching so many of them. But viewing this film from your eyes was once again almost overwhelming. I sat down just to see another military moview and before it was over I was crying and feeling dishearten. I didn’t expect the rendition of this film to have that effect on me. This is the first time. But then when the credits were rolling and I say that it was you. I knew why. You bring something to this craft that I have just never experienced before. As I have said I am not expert. I am nowhere near your field of study. I am a graduate student in electrical engineering. But I will say this, years ago I took a class at how to read film basically from what the author is trying to say. We did not explore the many attributes that go along with bringing the authors view to life, which is in my opinion directing. I am not sure if these words will find you but it is my hope that you continue to do what God has blessed you to do. Directing is innately you. I hope these words encourage you, make you smile and make you proud of what you do. Moe Comment on this... |

| by Nothing to hide Fuqua has always had a notorious reputation. Poor kid from Pittsburgh raised by a single parent-mother along with his two sisters and half brother (his half brother's father (a Muslim) was in the picture) had one goal in life - to be rich and famous. He would not allow anything or anybody stand in his way including his own children along the way. By the way he has one son in college and other son the same age location unknown (never supported nor associated both sons). His current wife is his meal ticket to Hollywood. His first wife was his meal ticket to California from New York. He even resided with Madonna for a brief moment and publicly violently argued with Quentin Tarrentino. What a great role model for young black man. Regardless if the black community wants the facts or not about Fuqua, he is a facade to those who really know him or rather a selfish dead beat.
