| by ps julianne moore is really beautiful. her features make her stand out in the sea of aneorexic barbie dolls that make up hollywood. i love the pale complexion with the red hair and green eyes. don't blame revlon for picking her up as one of their models! she's also a great actress who's been able to bring a variety of roles to life. i personally feel she was robbed of the oscar and should've won for far from heaven. she was truly incredible in that. same for the hours. i have enjoyed her performances and think she's very talented. | by Paul Voorhies What an incredible actress. I've been a fan of hers since she played half-sisters on "As The World Turns" in 1986, a role for which she won the Daytime Emmy. Her performance in last year's "Far From Heaven" was by far the best of either gender in any film released last year. Nicole Kidman's Oscar robbery was a joke; Julianne carried FFH almost single-handedly, whereas in TH, Nicole actually has less screentime than Julianne did in the same film. Of course, we all know what happened: Julianne got double-nominated for her fine portrayal of Cathy Whittaker in the Lead Category and for Laura Brown in the Supporting, and somehow wound up losing both. My other favorite role of hers is Amber Waves in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights." As an aging, drug-addicted, maternal porn queen, she pulls of a terrfic performance. Ditto her grief-stricken, drug-addled turn in PTA's next film, "Magnolia." Love ya Julianne!! PAUL Comment on this... | ||||
