Richard Martin

Director Richard Martin brings his finely honed sense of action, comedy and heartwarming family fun to AIR BUD: GOLDEN RECEIVER.

Martin began his career directing and editing documentaries and also produced several short films, many of which continue to screen around the world. He originally made his directorial debut with the sly thriller Matinee in 1989 before switching to a distinguished career as an award-winning feature film editor.

He made his return to directing with the comedic and poignant road movie North Of Pittsburgh. He then went on to direct White Tiger, an action feature starring Cary Tagawa and Matt Craven and the drama Wounded starring Graham Greene, Madchen Amick and Adrian Pasdar.

For television, Martin has directed nine episodes of the international hit fantasy television show Highlander. He is currently developing and writing scripts including an adaptation of Eliza Clark's novel What You Need and Quietude, The Lenny Breau Story, the true and strange story of the guitar virtuoso found murdered in a Hollywood pool in 1985.

Martin grew up in entertainment, the son of legendary comic Dick Martin, who also appears in AIR BUD: GOLDEN RECEIVER.
