| by L.Fortune Dear Mr. Corrente, I would like to suggest to you someone that I feel is right for the part of Buddy Cianci, in this film. He is an unknown, however he has all of the qualities for this part. He not only talks like Buddy Cianci, but he looks like Buddy Cianci. His name is Robert LaMoia, he is a Chef that is very well known, and to most of his customers they think he should play the part. He is also a consumate actor, and has done several independent films. He has the same persona as Buddy does. He is also at the right age. I heard you speak recently on the radio, and at that time you still did not know who you were going to use. Robert is a Native Rhode Islander, grew up in Silverlake, same place as Buddy, and Buddy even came to his restaurant, and he is at the right age brackett for the part. He is 48 years old. He can do Buddy thru most of his years. Please consider him for the role. He was a member of SAG, but he will renew his membership again if you need him too. Many people come up to me on a daily basis and say Bobby would be perfect for this part. I know at one time you may have been thinking of Paul Giamatti, or Paul Sorvino, but Giamatti would be better suited, but I think you need to give Robert LaMoia a chance. I have an independent film he recently did, and I could get a copy of it to you if need it. Awaiting you reply. Comment on this... |

| by K. D'Angelo Being a Rhode Islander, I can appreciate his movies. Especially with refenrence to certain Providence towns and/or areas. Ones only a native Rhode Islander can appreciate. However, his movies, as a whole, are fantastic. As far as his up and coming movie with regards to former Mayor of Providence, Vincent "Buddy" Cianci, I have a suggestion for him. I feel that Paul Sorvino would play the part very well. In addition to him being a wonderful actor, he could pass for Buddy's relative. I seen a picture of Buddy in The Providence Journal (our states newspaper). Prior to reading the caption, I thought the picture was of Mr. Sorvino. Even after reading the caption below the picture, I still believed it was a picture of Paul Sorvino. Comment on this... |
