H. C. Peffer Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, Purdue University (Sat Aug 27, 2005 9:09pm ET)report post
by D. Ramkrishna
Dear Ms. Nair:

We met several years ago in Hindu Colony, Dadar at Bombay in a private home where you were interviewing senior citizens for a documentary on Laughter Clubs. We talked for about a half hour but I had no idea that I was actually communicating with someone whom I have subsequently come to learn about as one of the most creative film producers that I have come across. The foregoing meeting occurred several years ago and I had meant to write to you but had forgotten it altogether until this afternoon, when I happened to see a rerun of Salaam Bombay. I found this an astounding movie that restores faith in Indian creativity amidst numerous other film producers who even flatter substandard Hollywood producers.

Best wishes,
Sincerely,
D. Ramkrishna
