| by Dave Walker, Ph.D. I saw the docudrama film years ago and would really like to obtain a copy. I teach advanced psychopathology to doctoral graduate students in psychology. So far no one has explained another mystery beyond the twins-- WHY is this movie so hard to find? I wrote Jon Amiel's agent and got no response. I've also searched many catalogs and had our librarian comb video collections across the country-- NO LUCK! Any help provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Comment on this... |

| by Hannah I was intrigued by the story of these two as well. I gather that the person who was unaware of Jennifer's fate did not read the updated version of the book, which told you at the end how Jennifer dropped dead for no apparant reason. The story is fascinating for its sheer mystery. A lot of people ascertain that Jennifer was the 'evil' twin and that the only way the two's struggle could end WAS for her to die. Sounds kind of cruel to me,but it could be one explaination. I'm curious to know how June managed to assert herself following her twin's death but I guess that's none of the world's business. | by Graham White I myself have always been a little reclusive so i was particularly interested in the book about june and jennifer. Perhaps jennifer had the last laugh as she is no longer in this rotten world. What i would like to ask june is, Do you believe in the spirit world, and if so do you make regular contact with jennifer? Please e mail me june and let me know. All the best Graham ----------- Comment on this... |

| by ENRAGED I don't feel at all sorry for the twins. Reading th ebook the silent twins enraged me. I thought it was cruel of them to play such a joke on the world by acting mute without any sole purpose they pretend to be mentally ill by yet they have enought knowledge to experiment on drugs, sex , and even arsony. Tehy pretended to be mentally ill when in reality everyone who tried to help them they mocked them in what they called a"game". I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to treat two pwoplw who refused to even try and then blame eachother for thei failures in not being married, social, etc. they are to blame. | by Kennesia Martin I found the book so intriguing that at the boarding school I attend, I told all my friends about the book. The beginning of the story, a teacher said he only knew three evil people and Jennifer was one of them. Well, I believe that Jennifer was not evil but just more controlling because of the inequality she saw in June's intellectual ability and other things where June was a tiny bit better. When Jennifer passed away I felt sorry for June and relieved at the same time because June could start showing outward affection. Throughout the story I wanted to intervene and put both of the twins out of their internal battle. I actually have friends who could understand how June and Jennifer could have such a dependance on each other, but yet could never fully understand. No-one can fully understand but June and Jennifer. So although the book was very informative, sometimes it is best hearing someone's story from their own mouth. So June if you get this, I would love to hear from you to see how you are and ask you some questions. Such as if your parents believed twins were a good or bad sign or if their beliefs were rooted in the Caribbean way of thinking. I'm from England too and my parents are from the Caribbean so we have things in common. Please e-mail me June if you get this. So i love daron i went ahead and called a Comment on this... | |||||||||

| by Pat Schiff I just read an article written by Marjorie Wallace for the Observer on July 13, 2003, in which Marjorie, writing about Ladan and Laleh Bijani, also discusses June and Jennifer Gibbons. Sadly Jennifer died very shortly after she and June left Broadmoor. The cause of death was a sudden acute myocarditis (an inflammation of the heart muscle). June now leads a quiet life, residing near her parents. More details can be read at www.guardian.co.uk/iran/story/0,12858,997276,00.html Comment on this... | |||||||||
