J.S. Cardone

Cardone performs the dual role of writer and director for the eighth time on The Forsaken. His previous double-credit efforts include Outside Ozona, Black Day, Blue Night, Shadowhunter, A Climate for Killing, which won the Best Independent Feature Film at the 1991 International Houston Film Festival; Slayer, Thunder Alley and Shadowzone.

A native of Los Angeles, Cardone began his career as writer and director on numerous television, stage and film productions. As a writer, his TV credits include the movies The Alias Program, Jacob Masters, and Strike. Among his stage directing credits are the L.A. productions of Domino Courts, Comanche Café, Actors, At Home and The Mummy an' the Armadillo, which he also wrote.

Cardone is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in political sciences. He lives with his wife and frequent collaborator, The Forsaken producer Carol Kottenbrook, in the wilderness outside Flagstaff, Arizona.
