John Scurti

In past seasons of Rescue Me, Entertainment Weekly's Gillian Flynn touted John Scurti's particularly good performance on the show, while The Bergen Record's Virginia Rohan listed him among her choices for Emmy nominations in the best supporting actor category.

Scurti was seen opposite Christopher Meloni in the sketch comedy film Dirty Movie. Other film credits include Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds; Mona Lisa Smile, opposite Julia Roberts; and The Ref in which he appeared alongside a, as of then, fast rising lunatic named Denis Leary.

A common fixture in television, Scurti has made guest appearances on Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Monk, Hope & Faith, Ed, Law & Order and Sex and the City.

Also a writer, Scurti received a 'Story by' credit for DNA, an episode from Rescue Me's first season. His other writing credits from the show are Bitch from season two; Twilight from three; and Cycle from last season.
