After graduating from the American Film Institute, Reims got his first television job as a writer on David E. Kelley's Chicago Hope, where he spent three years. In 1999, he worked with J.J. Abrams for the first time, joining the writing staff as a writer/producer on Felicity for the final three seasons of the show's run.
After stints working on American Dreams and Everwood, Reims signed an overall deal with ABC Studios. While there, he worked with Abrams again, serving as executive producer/show runner on What About Brian. Following that, he worked in the same capacity on Dirty Sexy Money. He is now based at Warner Bros. Television. Reims currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
