David Labrava is a newcomer to the scene. He started as a camera operator for the Zalman King company (9 1/2 Weeks, Red Shoe Diaries), where he hosted the Whiplash ZK series. He then did an independent project titled FTW, from Picture Perfect Productions. He will soon be seen in the feature film Fencewalker from Chris Carter (The X-Files).
Labrava has been riding motorcycles for 30 years. When the Sons of Anarchy pilot started shooting he was cast as Happy and has been a part of the show ever since, also serving as Technical Advisor.
Labrava is also an accomplished Glass artist. He writes a monthly column in the Hot Rod Magazine Ol' Skool Rodz called Burnin' Rubber with Jimmy Carbone. He owns a tattoo shop in Northern California and also tattoos there. He is a five diploma Harley Davidson mechanic, graduating from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and has built a bike that was on the cover of the Iron Horse magazine. He builds Hot Rod cars for fun, not profit, and is filming a documentary that should be out in 2010.
