Ty Olsson
Ty Olssen stars as Rollie Crane in Defying Gravity, a one-hour drama about a team of astronauts on a six-year mission in outer space. Dependable and good-natured, Rollie is in charge of Mission Control communications with the Antares crew, including his beloved wife Jen.
Ty's more than 75 television and feature credits include a regular role on ABC's quirky comedy series Men In Trees with Anne Heche. He also recently guest-starred on such series as The Evidence for ABC, Supernatural for The CW, Fallen for ABC Family, and Battlestar Galactica for Sci-Fi.
Feature film credits include X-Men 2, Elektra, Just Friends, RV, Marriage and Alien vs Predator 2. Ty's supporting role as Mark Bingham in A&E's Emmy award-winning Flight 93, which scored the highest ever ratings in the network's history, also landed him an interview on CNN's Larry King Live.
A graduate of Vancouver's prestigious theatre school, Studio 58, Ty currently lives in Vancouver.
