J.B. Smoove
J. B. Smoove, best known for his role as
Leon on
Curb Your Enthusiasm, is a gifted writer, comedian and actor who entertains audiences all over the world with his unique brand of comedic funk.
In September of 1999, he moved to Los Angeles and landed a recurring role on The Lyricist Lounge Show, as well as featured guest spots on The Chris Rock Show and Premium Blend. In June 2000, he landed his first big feature film role narrating and starring in the cult classic Pootie Tang with actor/comedian Chris Rock. In March 2001, he paired up with Adam Sandler to co-star in Mr. Deeds. The collaboration between Sandler and Smoove was so successful that Smoove signed a writing deal with both Revolution Studios and Happy Madison on the feature Drivin' Down South.
After an amazing season as a cast member on FOX's Cedric the Entertainer Presents, Smoove moved back to New York City where he landed a writing position on Saturday Night Live. Smoove's credits include Tough Crowd, Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza, SNL sketches, regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Everybody Hates Chris.
