Scott Porter

Scott Porter portrays Jason Street, the embattled star quarterback who was paralyzed for life in the pilot episode of the first season. Falling from grace into a dizzying whirl of emotions after the injury, Street grappled with his new life after injury and came out of it as a true hero and a man. Now an assistant coach of the Dillon Panthers, he is still a solid part of his former team.

Since relocating to New York City in 2005, Porter has starred in two off-Broadway productions: Altar Boyz as Matthew (Drama League Ensemble Cast Nominee) and the award-winning Toxic Audio (Drama Desk Award, Most Unique Theatrical Experience).

In 2008, Porter will be featured in Andy and Larry Wachowski's live-action Speed Racer film as Rex Racer, due out in May of 2008. In February, he has the male lead in the film Prom Night, opposite Brittany Snow. His other film credits include Music and Lyrics By..., starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, and the independent feature Descent, starring Rosario Dawson.

Porter's birthday is July 14. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, he counts that city and Orlando, as his off-season homes.
