Tonye Patano

Tonye Patano, who recently won a NAMIC Vision Award for her work in WEEDS, is best known for her feature film work including the Academy Award-nominated feature The Hurricane, Little Manhattan, The Great New Wonderful, Bringing Out The Dead, The Thing About My Folks, A Price Above Rubies, Fresh, A Good Day To Be George and Messengers.

Patano's television credits include Highway Heartbreaker and the role of Laverne Owens in The Jesse Owens Story, as well as roles on Monk, Hope & Faith and Sex And The City, and guest starring roles on Third Watch, Now And Again, The Human Factor, Deadline, New York Undercover, Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Patano appeared on Broadway in Neil Simon's 45 Seconds From Broadway, and in several off-Broadway productions, most recently Ponies with Michael Imperioli at Studio Dante. Upcoming film projects include The Savages with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney, coming to theaters September 2007, and Trainwreck, which is currently in production. Also, Patano recently starred on stage as Aretha Franklin in the Broadway tour of Legends, opposite Joan Collins and Linda Evans.
